If you've tried to visit us or return to our website in the last week or two, you may have had problems. On Jan 18 2012 we switched web hosts and unfortunately that address change takes many weeks to get updated across the Internet. Hopefully the worst is behind us and we want to thank you for your patience!   We are designers and makers of hand made cowboy and western hats, hatbands, custom gun leather, chaps, and leather accessories. We strive for authenticity in the pieces we reproduce from the 19th and early decades of the 20th century. Our custom hats and cowboy leather is made to order and to last. We promise to make no two custom pieces exactly the same - and our originality and individuality bring clients back time and again to our order catalogue. Moreover, we use what we design and make in Wild West Shows and at SASS Events. We are experts on the old west; cowboys, their tools and western film history - but we do not know everything. We have a bunch of new hats coming in February 2012, so check back often! Our latest custom hat design for Ladies is our City Lights. Modeled at right by our Social Media specialist, Robyn, the hat screams, "I'm a Lady of the West!"

We had some fun with our FACEBOOK FRIENDS, who helped us pick the hats name. The winning name was submitted by Dennis Massie and he'll be getting a customized shirt from The Last Best West. Thanks to all who played along!
