Rafter Six Ranch History Founded by the legendary Colonel Walker of the Northwest Mounted Police in the 1880s, Rafter Six Ranch was the first ranch in the Alberta Rocky Mountains. One of the original whiskey trading posts still stands on the Ranch - a testament to the reason the Mounties were formed and the Montana Whiskey Traders.
